TRIPS by Culture Trip adds 11 new itineraries for 2022, featuring ultimate bucket list moments

Curated by travel experts and led by Local Insiders, the small-group trips allow travellers to get under the skin of a destination with immersive local experiences combined with unique places to stay

With travel restrictions easing and many people eager to explore the world again, TRIPS by Culture Trip is launching 11 new itineraries for 2022. This is increasing its collection of small-group adventures to over 70 trips, with more to be added throughout the year.

Available to book via culturetrip.com/trips, these boutique trips offer the opportunity to explore the world in new, more meaningful ways together with other like-minded travellers. It is not about lazing on a packed beach for a week but about enjoying tea in the Sabah Tea Garden in Borneo, cooking with a local family in Greece or learning taiko drumming in Japan – all while staying in hand-picked accommodations enhancing that wow-factor experience.

The new itineraries take travellers on multi-day adventures to South Africa, Croatia, Nepal, Kenya and more – in addition to destinations such as Costa Rica, the Galapagos, Mexico, Italy, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, the UK and beyond that are part of the existing TRIPS portfolio.

Launched in September 2021, TRIPS by Culture Trip is a collection of small-group adventures curated by travel experts and led by Local Insiders who know the destination inside out. The itineraries combine unique places to stay with immersive experiences, hyper-local activities and hidden gems that travellers might not be able to discover otherwise. All elements of a trip are thoughtfully researched, planned and organised so all you have to do is book and show up – and then embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

Whether joining solo or with friends, TRIPS by Culture Trip is for those who want to connect with a place, its people and its culture. While all itineraries feature many bucket list moments, there is also free time to unwind or explore on your own, offering the right balance of action and relaxation.

The new TRIPS by Culture Trip itineraries range from island hopping in Greece and wine tasting in South Africa to catching a glimpse of an orangutan in Borneo:

Athens to Santorini: A Greek Island-Hopping Odyssey in the Cyclades

Experience the lesser-known side of Athens exploring the hip but overlooked Keramikos neighbourhood while staying in a hotel with rooftop pool and Acropolis view. Visit colourful fishing villages and secluded bays on a boat cruise around the island of Milos with its charming villages and the impressive Sikia Cave, before continuing to Naxos for ancient ruins, pristine beaches and a Greek cooking class in a family home. Cap off the trip in style in Santorini, renowned for its spectacular sunsets and whitewashed buildings with blue-domed roofs. 8-day trip starts from £1,599* per person based on departures in May and September.

Cape to Cape: Discover South Africa’s Wildlife, Winelands and the Garden Route

Encounter the rich variety of wildlife and spectacular landscapes from the Western to the Eastern Cape whilst staying in exquisite hotels and lodges. Hike up Table Mountain, explore the Cape Peninsula and go stand-up paddleboarding with penguins, before wine tasting in Stellenbosch and staying in a spectacular cliff-edge hotel in Hermanus with views of Walker Bay and even a chance to spot Southern right whales in the waters below. Embark on a marine safari to uninhabited Dyer Island, look out for whales, sharks and dolphins, enjoy a boat cruise on Knysna Lagoon with fresh oysters, before finishing the trip at Amakhala Game Reserve in a family-run luxury lodge – a prime destination to spot the Big Five in the wild. 10-day trip starts from £2,399* per person based on departures in August and October.

Into the Jungle: Wildlife Adventures in Borneo
