Culture Trip — the travel e-commerce brand with content at its core — is today launching a bespoke campaign for TransPennine Express (TPE). The campaign inspires Culture Trip’s audience to explore the best destinations and unexpected places throughout the train company’s network.
As part of the campaign, Culture Trip’s Media Sales team created a suite of bespoke branded content across its website and app including social video and an illustrated map to showcase journeys with TPE throughout Northern England. Culture Trip’s highly engaged audience is passionate about food, wellness, music and outdoor activities, with these themes at the heart of the bespoke content by local creators to shine a light on extraordinary places in the region including Leeds, Manchester, York, Liverpool and more. Articles created include The Great Northern Foodie Trail and The 7 Buzziest Music Venues in Scotland and Northern England.
With a view to drive awareness and interest at a time when people are seeking travel inspiration in their own backyard, Culture Trip is targeting its audience in England’s North and Scotland to specifically reach people within the network of TPE. Running throughout summer, the campaign is focused on positioning the rail company as a sustainable, convenient, affordable and fun way of getting to places closer to home as almost one in four Brits (23%) plan to travel in the country that they live in rather than visiting a foreign country, according to a Culture Trip survey*.
Since 2019 alone, Culture Trip has received more than 30 awards for its unique, inspirational content and its work for advertising clients. Offering a positive, brand-safe environment and customised services, it has become an attractive partner for those looking for bespoke campaigns.
Kate Glover, Culture Trip’s VP of Media Sales said: “This campaign was specifically created for TransPennine Express in a way that we know the Culture Trip audience will love. Many are browsing our site, app and social channels for staycations right now and come to us for inspiration on how to experience their own backyard — and that makes us a great match for our partner. It’s the first time we are working with the team at TransPennine Express and we are very excited to deliver this very targeted and exciting campaign for them, in line with the client’s specific goals.”
Lisa Hewitt, Partnership Marketing Manager at TransPennine Express commented: “This campaign with Culture Trip has provided TransPennine Express the opportunity to engage with a new, highly engaged audience while presenting our network in a hugely inspirational way. People trust Culture Trip to help them explore the world with their award-winning content and story-telling capabilities. More than ever, over the next few months we want to inspire the people in the region and cities we serve as many will stay close to home — the campaign Culture Trip created for us shows how staycations can be exciting and fun.”
