Independent Businesses Selected by Culture Trip’s Global Creator Network Based on Criteria Including Ethical Business Trading, Creativity, Sustainability and Diversity
LONDON, UK (November 25, 2019) – Culture Trip, the global start-up operating in travel, media and entertainment, today unveiled its top picks for small businesses to support in New York, London and Paris. The announcement comes timed to a series of special editorial features in support of the annual global recognition of Small Business Saturday in many major city hubs.
Culture Trip’s lists celebrate and recognise the small, independent businesses in New York, Paris and London that have carried the torch for ethical business trading, creativity, sustainability and diversity. In addition to being featured on Culture Trip’s global platform that reaches nearly 18M monthly visitors, the lists will be promoted on Culture Trip’s social channels, and each small business will receive a window sticker recognising their “Celebrated Local Business” status.
“At Culture Trip, we believe that small is special and sustainability concerns are at the heart of our business,” said Dmitry Shiskin, Chief Content Officer, Culture Trip. “We’re always looking for ways to extend our core values into our content offering, and Small Business Saturday was a wonderful opportunity to spotlight the local, unusual and frequently off the beaten track shops and businesses that are regularly featured in our stories.”
New York – Saturday, November 30
It may be a big city, but New York is renowned for its small businesses. Local favorites such as Katz’s Deli or Gray’s Papaya have become cultural landmarks akin to the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State. Yet, with all the banks, pharmacies and chains clamoring for your attention block after block, it can be easy to overlook all the city has to offer. We gathered 20 of our favorite local businesses across New York’s five boroughs that are independent and bring New Yorkers unique food, experiences, products and more.
